We are excited to introduce Jim Messina, the newest addition to our 10X ERP team! Jim joined our team this fall as a new Customer Support Champion and brings a decade-plus of ERP knowledge, specializing in support, software implementation, and product management. He’s excited to apply his extensive experience to provide quality support to our 10X clients!
Why 10X?
When I first saw 10X, what got me excited was its modern approach to software development. It goes beyond the user interface with a forward-thinking tech stack designed to allow for easy integration with other business-critical systems. It allows users to break out of the traditional ‘one size fits all’ software model and instead cater to their specific needs and wants.
Which of our company values resonate with you the most and why?
Transparency. At 10X, I can communicate openly and honestly with our customers about what we’re working on, timelines, etc. It builds trust when you speak like a real human being, not as a PR spokesperson.
What do you find most rewarding in your current role?
Collaboration between our team and our customers. I’ve been able to take suggestions from customers and brainstorm with our engineers to come up with some novel solutions. It’s a very iterative process, and it’s another example of why transparency is so important, as these discussions go back and forth until everyone is satisfied with the outcome.
If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
I live in Music City—Nashville—but have zero musical talent, so I’d want to pick up an instrument just to fit in. I love the sound of bluegrass, so I’d choose between the banjo and fiddle.
What’s your go-to snack or beverage to power through a busy day?
My ideal answer here is hard-boiled eggs, occasionally with a few pieces of bacon. In reality, though, it’s often just caffeine, anyway I can get it.
