The Role
We're hiring an Onboarding Specialist to take new 10X ERP clients from a signed agreement to a confident launch. You pick each client up at the sales handover and stay with them through kickoff, discovery, configuration, training, launch day, and the first weeks on the system. For most of the people at a new client, you are 10X ERP.
This job is as much about people as software. You'll run kickoff meetings, visit client sites to see how they actually operate, train their teams from the warehouse floor to the accounting office, and keep everyone clear on what happens next and what we need from them. Data extraction and mapping are handled by our data migration specialists, so your time goes to the client and to getting their team ready.
We're building onboarding toward four client launches a month, and our target is about 100 days from signing to launch. You'll typically have four to six client projects under way at once, each at a different stage. Plan on about half your time on the road for discovery visits, on-site training, launches, and consult visits after launch.
The Product
10X ERP is a modern, cloud-native ERP built for small and mid-market distributors in industrial supply, sealing, fasteners, hose and hydraulics, electrical supply, jan/san, plumbing and HVAC, foodservice equipment, and medical supply. Inventory, orders, purchasing, warehouse, accounting, and AI-powered insights all run on one platform. Distributors across the country run their business on 10X ERP today, and more are signed and working through onboarding.
You'll learn the product well enough to teach any part of it, and to spot where a client's process and the software don't fit yet.
What You Will Do
- Pick up each new client at the sales handover and run the kickoff meeting
- Visit client sites for discovery to learn how they buy, receive, sell, ship, and bill, and map that to 10X ERP
- Configure 10X ERP for each client, including system settings, user setup, and workflows
- Plan with our data migration specialists what data comes over and when, and review the migrated data with the client before launch
- Train client teams on the parts of the platform they use every day, on site and remotely
- Lead launch on site and support the client through the first weeks after
- Keep each client informed on where their project stands, what's next, and what we need from them
- Return for consult visits after launch when a client needs more help
- Keep project status current in our client hub so the whole team can see where every launch stands
- Improve our onboarding playbooks, training materials, and checklists as you go
- Bring what you hear from clients back to our product and engineering teams
Who You Are
- Experienced in software implementation, client onboarding, or project management in a SaaS or ERP environment
- A clear, patient trainer. You can teach a warehouse team in the morning and a controller in the afternoon.
- Organized enough to run several client projects at once without letting dates slip
- Comfortable telling a client what they need to hear, early and plainly
- Curious about how distribution businesses run: purchasing, pricing, inventory, and the warehouse
- Comfortable with AI-assisted workflows. We use AI tools across every role and expect you to do the same.
- Self-directed. You can take a client from kickoff to launch without someone managing every step.
- Experience in distribution, wholesale, or supply chain is a strong plus
- Willing and able to travel about 50% of the time to client sites across the US
- Strong English communication skills
Why This Role
- You see the result. Every launch is a distributor running its business on software built for it, and you're the one who got them there.
- You own the relationship. Clients know you by name from kickoff to launch.
- Room to grow. Onboarding is growing fast, and the people on the team now will shape how it works as it grows.
- Self-funded. No investors, no board. Our only obligation is to our customers.
Details
- Full-time, ongoing position
- Remote when not traveling, with about 50% travel to client sites across the US
- US-based
- Reports to the Customer Success Manager (currently filled by our COO) and works closely with our sales, data migration, support, and engineering teams
- Competitive compensation and benefits, including health insurance
- Target start: as soon as possible
